A Senior Session to Remember | Makenah’s Coastal Adventure

Every now and then, a session comes along that feels like something straight out of a movie — and this one with Makenah absolutely was.

We started the evening at her grandparents' beautiful golf course, which already felt special… but get this — it’s also where they’ve filmed episodes of The Walking Dead! How cool is that? The setting had this cinematic charm that made the entire session feel even more surreal.

After soaking up the golden light on the course, we jumped into her great-grandparents’ golf cart (iconic) and made our way down to a waterfront spot nearby. There, waiting across a boat ramp, was the cutest little boat — and her grandparents' friend graciously offered to drive it for us while we captured dreamy, coastal portraits out on the water.

To top it off, my sister-in-law Juliana came along and filmed the entire session from start to finish, capturing all the little moments that made this day so special.

And just when I thought it couldn’t possibly get better… we passed a massive sailboat anchored nearby. I asked (very nicely, of course) if we could hop on for a few final shots, and with a quick “yes,” we climbed aboard just in time for the most magical golden hour glow.

This session had everything: meaningful locations, stunning light, cinematic vibes, and a senior who was truly a dream to work with. Makenah, thank you so much for letting me be part of this unforgettable evening — it’s one I’ll never forget!
